Katherine Trowell
Katherine’s travels have taken her from her childhood home in Montana, across the US and into South Korea, where she taught English to local school children. She documented her adventures and told personalized stories through photography. Today she weaves those experiences into her work for Touch of Color clients. Her passion for photography and easy demeanor is evident when you walk through our doors. Katherine is our go-to gal—greeting clients, answering questions and keeping us all on our toes.

Melissa’s visual relationship with the world began in Hawaii, where the beauty and majesty of the landscape inspired her while studying photography and design at the University of Nations in Kailua-Kona. Melissa’s favorite subject isn’t mountain ranges, however, it’s people. She is drawn not just to beautiful faces but the stories behind them. Melissa’s documentary-style work has helped our studio create a niche in the Triangle, and helped our clients identify us as leaders in this technique. We are thankful that Melissa’s journey has led her here, where her passion for people shines.

Using the technical expertise she gained with her degree in Graphic Design at Wake Technical College, Natalie keeps us at the technological forefront of retouching and restoring—and keeps our clients’ photos looking pristine!

When you come to visit us at the Falls House, you’ll recognize our official greeter, Miss Mona. Our sweet-natured black Scottish Terrier is a major flirt who loves belly rubs and rides in the car. She’s responsible for keeping those pesky studio rabbits in check, and for alerting us to new visitors.
